A reader of Inclusive Internal Communications recently wrote to me after returning from a career break. What stayed with her was this:

“Low engagement is not always a reflection of the communicator’s capability. It can depend on how leadership teams interact and engage with employees.”
That line captures why I wrote the book.
Internal communication is often evaluated at the surface level — campaigns, channels, attendance. But outcomes are usually shaped by organisational behaviour, leadership signals and psychological safety.
Grateful to Ayushi Khandelwal from Orica for taking the time to share her reflections.
If you’re navigating engagement, change, or restarting your career in communications, the book may help you see organisations a little differently.
