Dr. T J Larkin and Sandar Larkin ( www.larkin.biz) indicated that a hypodermic like needle injection of messages were not enough to change employees. Rather a two pronged method of injection plus face-to-face communication helped bring about change. Supervisors needed to be the change agents.

Content drives internet habits – lessons for intranet re-designing?
Intranet re-designs are an exciting but challenging assignment. I can vouch for it having been involved in a re-design exercise at i-flex solutions in 2002.The key learning from the i-flex exercise was to make the intranet a relevant content channel for employees and branding the forum. The medium is accepted more widely due to its interactivity, the ability to creatively treat content among others. Â Based on my experience, below are some tips to create effective employee videos…. Â 1. Help employees understand the context: Instead of putting ‘heads’ in front […]
Employee engagement and wacky inductions!
I was amused to view a video by Aditi Technologies and the extent they go to make ‘new recruits’ feel special on Day 1. Some provide freebies and joining bonuses, some entertain the employees, some go overboard!  Like the person who forwarded the message penned –  “It goes to show the extent […]
'In-pack' internal branding
When the Technology Library wanted to create awareness for their work, little did they realize that they had already a good equity within the organization. Â The Library was involved as the primary source of information for internal campaigns and debates on productivity and growth. They were the access point to Gartner and other leading authorities […]
